Our Gundog Team at Dr Batty's Pet & Country Store is second to none. We have worked hard over the past three years to perfect our training methods and create a team of intelligent and happy to work dogs. They are able to take on any challenge, whether it be retrieving game, picking up on our local shoot , or standing on peg with lovely guns. We work all over the North Yorkshire Moors and Durham County, and we are passionate about helping handlers create productive and healthy partnerships with their dogs. We take pride in our dogs performance and are excited to continue pushing our limits and expanding our team.

Our Story

Helen Patterson is the mastermind behind Dr Batty's Pet & Country Store and Dr Batty's Gundogs and she has been passionate about all things dog-related for as long as she can remember. Having grown up with dogs all her life, she always wanted to get into more countryside pursuits including shooting, but instead, her love for working with dogs became her primary focus. Helen is knowledgeable in the field of Gundog training, and she and her team are dedicated to providing the best care and support possible for you and your furry companion. Helen started training her very own pet gundog Wren over 3 years ago where she quickly became addicted to allowing dogs to enjoy and unleash their inner instinct's and ultimately reach their top potential and happiness.
